Who I Am

I grew up in Michigan and came to college at the University of Michigan, where I entered as pre-med and exited as an English major ... then entered again and exited a second time with an MA in Educational Administration. I'm currently working as an AdWords Associate at Google, Inc.

I attended church throughout my life, but it was in college that I realized Christianity wasn't just about Sunday mornings, but a genuine relationship with Christ and a calling to live for something greater.

I'm thankful for the community of faith at Harvest Mission Community Church in Ann Arbor, which has been my church home since college through today.

Interests

  • searching for the best coffee around, discovering new music (all genres), sports, deep conversations in cafes (over a cup of coffee), learning about global cultures, suspense movies, reading, writing

Weird Habits

  • I actually like the taste of health food (whole wheat, salad, protein bars)
  • Sometimes on long stretches of clear sidewalks, I test my guts by
    closing my eyes and counting how many steps I can take before I have to open my eyes again

Passions

Goals

  • to build up the local church and participate in world transformation
  • to skydive at least once in my life
  • to take myself less seriously

Why I Write

Writing causes me to pause and reflect, and is a powerful avenue to communicate truth.
